Pat Harle, MBE, is also a Non Executive Director with South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, and has held previous Non Executive Director positions in commissioning NHS organisations across the City of Sunderland and South of Tyne & Wear. She has extensive senior NHS management and board level experience within complex organisations including health, education and regulatory organisations, and has held a number of national offices, including former president and chair of the British Association of Dental Nurses, chair of a national training advisory and accreditation board, and deputy chair of an examining board. Pat also previously ran her own management consultancy, working with a range of organisations and environments including, Armed Forces; NHS Hospitals and Community Services; Post Graduate Institutes and with the private sector.

Pat was awarded an MBE in 2002, received a lifetime achievement Award from The Probe dental publication, and presented with a Medal of Distinction by the British Dental Association. She has extensive experience of building alliances and working relationships with a range of stakeholders and in particular as an NHS Non Executive, proactively seeking and building continuous and meaningful engagement with the public, patients and carers and staff to shape and achieve high quality services.
